About me behind sukoo story blog

" I always imagined a Humans of New York style feed, dedicated to Motherhood. I didn't realise how quickly that concept would become my main focus"

In November 2019, I launched my own baby and children’s label with the hope to one day stay home with my children and work for myself. Entering the baby space, I was very aware of just how saturated the it was. I didn’t want to launch just another label focused towards babies and children, but something more

I remember typing out my very first instagram post, sharing the core of Sukoo and how our projects like #sukooseconds and #asukoostory would be centre of everything we do.   In hindsight, I can see the reason these projects took so long to start was a combination of fear of being different and imposture sydnrome.

In 2022, we experienced a shift in the way the consumer was interacting with brands. Marketing strategist started speaking more on the importance of storytelling as a brand and I had a “why am I not already doing it” moment.

I made the decision to kick fear to the side and implement my original plan for Sukoo.  The moment I started sharing stories of those in our community, I knew it was quickly becoming my main focus and passion.

Walking into 2023, I had such clarity that I needed to run with this concept, but make it its own thing.

Sukoo was known for its motherhood polls over the years, with many mothers engaging in a series of polls relating to topics from pregnancy, birth, newborns, toddlers and beyond. We had continual feedback from our community that these polls were one of their favourite parts of our brand and how it was so nice to know they were not alone.

Sukoo Story is a place for that to unfold even further. A virtual village for mothers to find support, encouragement, wisdom, community, and ultimately, know they’re not alone on this journey in Motherhood. We are so excited to share our communities stories, suggestions, gift guides, wisdom and more.
